Confused Identity and Counterfeit Notes

Who knows truly? Who here will declare whence it arose, whence this creation? The gods are subsequent to the creation of this. Who, then, knows whence it has come into being?

Whence this creation has come into being; whether it was made or not; he in the highest heaven is its surveyor. Surely he knows, or perhaps he knows not.

Rig Veda

Spirituality, religion and rituals are complex and intricate, so is man’s search for GOD, the supreme power. ‘God is in you’, ‘God is outside’, ‘search deep and you will find him’, ‘live by the rule book, he will come to you’, ‘you need to remember me ten times in a week’, ‘remembering me on a particular day that will suffice’, ‘you are special because you feed me with delicacies’. Countless myths, mysteries and mayhem surround religious beliefs and religion.

Intermittent spattering adding to already confused state in the discourse, is the non-believer, the atheist’s voice throwing the pebbles at the credence called GOD, “If every day belongs to God, does that not mean all days should be great?”, “If he is within me, should I not be him?”, “If a path is virtuous, should seeker not be virtuous?” & more…

Questions, observations and confusions are what surround when I try to understand religion and beliefs because embroiled in all, which I see around in the arguments, is also my view on my religion and my practices.

Each one talks with such eloquence or veracity about GOD on what is right and what is wrong in the present tense, stitching in experiences from the past, that at some point as they speak, the future is evolving and staring, “Only I am right and you are wrong!”, insinuating that my God or my path is the only one or at the least, superior!

When did religion and seeking compassion lead us to vending vengeance? Was it the day when humanity realized its easy currency or a low boiling point, or frenzy for attention? When did GOD become linear?

While the Gods and Goddesses are astonished at what is made out of them and the trillion truths in various shades, they are on the verge of denouncing their existence while the humble humanity is haunted for that one endearing GOD.

The warm sun, flowers bursting to bloom, chirping and flapping birds, trillion creations that stop us on track to wonder & marvel, the small acts of kindness/generosity insignificant for many but lifeline to the concerned, affectionate smiles, mouth-watering recipes prepared with love, floating dreams, fragrant thoughts, they all confirm God’s magnificent presence.

But, remember we can only fall back on our experience while describing or discussing GOD; that is the limitation and magnificence in elucidating GOD, for we unravel, disclose, expose and divulge who we are while we describe GOD!

Is GOD smiling or bemused?

When the solution is simple, God is answering.
